While the T629 is not the slimmest device in its class, the dual-tone soft grey-colored exterior remains competitive with 3.59" x 1.81" x 0.88" dimensions. The T629 have a 262K-color LCD essential for rich visual multimedia, with standard navigation keys below surrounded by soft keys to quickly access commonly used features.

The T629 also have a 1.3-megapixel camera. Although images taken by this camera phone are clear and comparable to other camera phones, the 4x digital zoom creates only marginally acceptable images, cropping photos rather than actually zooming in. Connecting to T-Mobile's online portal, T-Zones, customers can download music, games, wallpaper, more web applications, or access a variety of premium services.

The T629 priced as a mid-level devices. And considering most high-end devices cost several hundred more, the T629 offers an excellent value for the price point.
