According to gamespot.com’s review on demo, the game still has favorable controls, improved graphic than the prequel, and of course still much action packed in the sequel.
The demo started right after Kratos beat Ares and take the action against the new enemy, Colossus of Rhodes. After Kratos crowned himself as the new god of wars, the Spartans army invades the other city. To stop this, Kratos transporting himself to Rhodes and wrack havoc everything he sees.
The control of this game hasn’t changed from the first one. The square and triangle buttons still used as light and heavy attacks. And you can grab and stab the enemy by pressing the circle button. To make Kratos jump, you can pressed X button and pressing the buttons twice will make Kratos double jumped.
This game would taste bland if it doesn’t cover the magical attack. To make Kratos attacks with magic you can use the L2 button and can make it more damaging by pressing circle button rapidly. Beside the magical attack, Kratos also have special attack. To use it you can press the R2 button.
Brutal attack is what we like to see from the game, but don’t forget that Kratos still have the health bar which can dropped if he accept the damage from the enemy. So don’t forget to hit the L1 button to block any incoming attacks.
Probably the only new thing on this demo is you can use the ballista to attack the Colossus and then launch yourself on the big statue.
If you miss the first title, but like hardcore stylish genre game like Devil May Cry series then probably you would like this one too and play the first series while waiting for the sequel which will be released on March 13.
