Barcelona Lost!

The new 3-4-3 formation make Barcelona lost against Liverpool. Well, many people (include me) predicted that Barcelona will have the initiative to attack and Liverpool will play more defensive. But thanks to the experimental formation, the condition was reversed.

Okay, Barcelona may have the ball possession (60% against 40%) but Liverpool won when it comes to total shot comparison (10 against 1!). The Lady Luck maybe side Barcelona with 2 shot hit the crossbar, and 1 superb block from Puyol save Barcelona from conceding.

The first half was totally Liverpool's game. John Arne Rise was very unlucky when his shot hitting the crossbar. Not long after that Victor Valdez's poor clearance almost made Barcelona concede. Sissoko was very unfortunate that his first time shot only hit the crossbar.

Many Barcelona fans really hoped that in the second half Barcelona will have some improved gameplay and changed to the old 4-3-3 formation. But Frank Rikjaard still believe that the new 3-4-3 formation will made Barcelona through to the next round.

The second half started with Barcelona still have the ball possession and Liverpool prefer to more defensive style. Good performance by Liverpool's defenders especially Jamie Carragher really frustrate Barcelona's attacker.

Thanks to Eidur Gudjohnsen's goal that made Liverpool plays more attacking. Both team play attacking football but only Liverpool that made dangerous attack to Barcelona defence.

Man Utd wins 2-1 against Fulham at Craven

What can I say this is one of the awful performance by Manchester United this season. Well Manchester United really be grateful that they win this game. Include the Champion League one which against Lille then Manchester United already played awful two games in a row.

The first goal on this match shouldn't happen if Vidic didn't loose the ball to the goalkeeper. And Van der Sar should have catch it than try to kick it.

Fortunately Manchester United can equalize through Ryan Giggs. Thanks to Rooney who assist the goal brilliantly. This goal resemblance the goal that Ronaldo made where the team they are oppose are same, Fulham back then on the first match of this season.

On the second half, Manchester United play can't get better and they are lucky that Radzinskis header still hit the bar. And thanks to Ronaldo which pass through 2-3 players before scored the second goal, Manchester United can end the game with 3-points.

AC Milan chasing over Robinho

It’s rumored that AC Milan are chasing Robinho, according to some Spanish press AC Milan will need about 30 million euros(£21 million) to take Robinho away from Madrid.

The Spanish daily Marca claims that Milan made their interest known during the negotiations for fellow Brazilian Ronadlo, who moved to the San Siro in the January transfer window.

Well the rumor maybe not wrong if you look AC Milan squad right now. AC Milan only have 3 strikers, and only A.Gilardino on form.

Today’s Arsenal from a Manchester United fan perspective

The combination of young guns and senior guns during December and early January really impressed me. Even though me as a Red Devil fan and Arsenal hater since 1998 because one of my friend who fans of the Gunners like to jerk each other.

What impressed me are of course the double beating Liverpool in the Carling Cup and the FA Cup and the dramatic victory against Manchester United. In that three matches, the Gunners never have the same 11 starting players.

The future I am talking about is not only in 1 or 2 sectors, but in every sector from the goalkeepers to the strikers.

GK sector:
The first goalkeeper, J. Lehmann is one of many best goalkeepers in Europe. He is the senior in here. Even sometimes makes blunder but he had experience that can be learned by the second goalkeeper, Almunia.

DF sector:
This is the youngest sector in average ages. They have 4-6 players who under 25 age and have some decent experience as starter in Premiership. And those players have a mentor like W. Gallas who had experience in World Cup Germany 2006.

MF sector:
This is the most promising sector. The Gunners is very lucky to have C. Fabregas on their side. This player is really promising. On his 19 years old he played very well in the last European Champion League. In that tournament, one of the most memorable moments of him is where he played against R. Madrid.

The Gunners also have G. Silva who the most senior and currently top scorer in MF sector. The other seniors like A. Hleb, and T. Rosicky also have some experience in the international level.

ST sector:
This sector is really lucky having T. Henry as their partner both in the practice match and in the real match. The trainees of course are T. Walcott, R. Van Persie, and E. Adebayor.

Walcott still have much to learn. Van Persie showing some good performance when T. Henry injured and E. Adebayor also proved that he is not only good in the air but also dangerous in finishing.

Well with that potential its not surprising if in the next English Premier League season, Arsenal will be the most toughest rival for every teams who wants to top the English Premiership League.

Nothing interesting happened at Manchester

Almost a week ago the winter transfer window closed, and (as I predicted) the Owen Hargreaves transfer cannot be made this time at least until the next transfer window. Of course it really surprising for a big club like Manchester United to end the winter transfer with no signing and only loan one player, H. Larsson for 2 and a half month.

It is totally different than last year where Manchester United signs 2 players, N. Vidic, and P. Evra. Well it really doesn’t matter at all for Manchester United as they lead over 6 points by the runner-up, Chelsea but what makes me feel sad is Owen Hargreaves move delayed until the next summer (if the deal accepted of course). I really think that Hargreaves presence in the midfield area will enriches Manchester United style of play.

Even Red Devil legend, Bryan Robson said that Hargreaves style of play is what Manchester United needs now. And his style of play is similar to him and Roy Keane.

Well if Hargreaves really moves to Old Trafford in the next summer, maybe we can see him wearing a captain-ban just like the two names above.
